A day after Sony announced it’d launch the Xperia 5 V soon, a Geekbench listing of the same device revealed it’s key specifications.
This includes the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 V running on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Android 13 and having 8GB RAM. While more details are yet to be known, previous leaks show the handset having up to 16GB RAM and 33W fast charging support.
Sony Xperia 5 V Leaks
Exactly a year after launching the Xperia 5 IV, Sony announced bringing it’s successor – Xperia 5 V, to the market soon. While the launch date was scheduled for September 1st, Sony hasn’t revealed any handset details.
Well, a teasing trailer of the Xperia 5 V shows the company is boasting about it’s rear camera, so it’s expected to be a premium offering. This aside, the handset’s physical design seems more or less like it’s predecessor.
And now, a Geekbench listing spotted by GSMArena revealed the upcoming handset’s SoC, RAM and software details. According to the news outlet, the handset with model code XQ-DE54(purportedly Sony Xperia 5 V) will sport 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and run on Android 13 OS.
Further, the handset scored 2,004 and 5,059 points on Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests, respectively. As we wait for more details, an earlier Geekbench listing shows the same handset having up to 16GB RAM and a certification on China’s 3C confirms the 33W fast charging support.
