Samsung has recently introduced their newest Exynos 800 chipset. The SoC already powers Vivo Y70s smartphone, which was introduced yesterday in China.
It features dual SIM support and integrates 5G modem. It also supports 5G NR Sub-6GHz (2.55Gbps DL / 1.28Gbps UL), EN-DC (3.55Gbps DL / 1.38Gbps UL), LTE Cat.16 5CA (1Gbps DL / 200Mbps UL).
The Samsung Exynos 880 chipset comes as a a cut-down variant of the Exynos 980. It is based on the 8nm FinFET processor and comes packed with an eight CPU cores (two 2GHz Cortex-A77 performance cores + six 1.8Ghz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores).
The SoC is coupled along with Mali-G76 MP5 GPU. It will feature support for display with up to 2520 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution. It supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 / eMMC 5.1 storage space.
The Exynos 880 SoC can handle a single 64MP camera or dual 20MP + 20MP cameras. It can encode 4K UHD videos at 30fps and decode HEVC (H.265), H.264 and VP9.
Connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Bediou/Galileo and FM Radio will be available.
