Xiaomi’ Redmi brand has recently introduced their RedmiBook 16 notebook in China. It was introduced along side the Redmi 10X 4G and Redmi 10X 5G smartphones.
The RedmiBook 16 comes with a slim profile along with measurements of 367.2 x 232.85 x 17.55 mm and weighs at about 1.8kg. It features a full size keyboard along with 0.3mm custom key cap and 1.5mm key travel.
The notebook features a 16.1-inch display which has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution at 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen has 300nits of brightness, 100% sRGB and has a 178-degree wide viewing angles.
The RedmiBook 16 can be set up with a 2.3Ghz AMD Ryzen 5 4500U (up to 4GHz and 8MB L3 cache) OR 2GHz AMD Ryzen 7 4700U (up to 4.1Ghz and 8MB L3 cache). These feature AMD Radeon Graphics coupled with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2GB GDDR5) Graphics.
Depending on the model, the laptop features an 8GB /16GB DDR4 (2133Mhz) RAM and 512GB SATA SSD storage. Coming pre-installed with Windows 10 OS. There is an 8mm heat pipe and a large sized fan for maximum heat transfer.
The RedmiBook 16 comes with a 46Wh battery and supports fast charging. It should be able to chage from 0 to 50% in about 38 minutes whilst being shut down. Full charge should give you about 12 hours of local video playback or 9 hours on online video.
The laptop features support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB 3.1 Gen1, two USB-C and HDMI ports. It also includes 3.5mm headphone / mic jack, two 2W speakers with DTS audio and Realtek ALC256 chip for enhanced audio.

Ryzen 5 4500U + 16GB RAM: 3999 yuan (USD$ 560 / Rs. 42,350 approximately)
Ryzen 7 4700U + 16GB RAM: 4499 yuan (USD$ 630 / Rs. 47,640 approximately)
The RedmiBook 16 will be up for order in China starting from the first of June.
