Xiaomi’s Redmi brand recently introduced their Redmi AX5 Wi-Fi6 Router in China. It is company’s first Wi-Fi 6 router in the market.
The Redmi Router AX5 is well optimized to connect with 128 devices including smart home gizmos. It has a smartphone App that can be utilized to control / adjust router settings.
The Router comes packed with a 1.2GHz quad-core (Cortex-A53) IPQ6000 processor with 1.5GHz NPU. It come with a 256MB RAM and 128MB on-board ROM. The SoC is Qualcomm’s Penta-core enterprise-class Chipset manufactured with 14nm node process.
The Redmi AX5 router comes with four independent signal amplifier antennas that gives a 50% increased coverage and 4dB increased signal strength.
It features support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/a/ac/ax and Dual Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It is claimed to give a 1775Mbps speed and can download 720p movie in about 8 seconds. It features support for Mesh Networking and Mixed Networking as well.
The Redmi Router AX5 is currently priced at 229 Yuan ($32 / Rs. 2440 approximately) and will be up for sale starting from the 10th of June. It will be available in White color.
