Qualcomm has recently improved upon their Quick Charge 3 fast charging technology with a new model called the Quick Charge 3+. It is targeted at mid-range smartphones.
The Quick Charge 3+ not only gives fast charging but is 9-degree Celsius cooler than its predecessor. Qualcomm asserts that it can be charged from 0% to 50% in just 15 minutes. Based on this, we would say that this is 15% faster than base Quick Charge 3.
The Quick Charge 3+ also comes equipped with industry standard USB Type-A-to-Type-C cables and accessories that support scalable voltage along with 20mV steps from Quick Charge 4.
The tech is backward compatible with previous generations. Qualcomm has insured various safety mechanisms along with integrated cable power capability / identification.
The Qualcomm Quick Charge 3+ fast charging is already support by Xiaomi’s recently announced phone, Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G that is globally known as Mi 10 Lite Zoom. The QC3+ will be first available with Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G followed by other Snapdragon platforms.
