Realizing how widely mobile payments are being used by people, PayPal and Venmo are partnering with Apple to let it’s users add their cards to the Apple Wallet.
This will enable Apple users to pay with PayPal and Venmo’s Debit and Credit cards by adding them to their Apple Wallet. When enabled, users can pay through their iPhone or iPad through Face ID or Touch ID biometrics quickly.
PayPal Cards on Apple Wallet
Over the last decade, mobile payments have grown more rapidly than any other payment mode. The adoption is so significant that tech giants like Apple, Google and others have embedded payment systems into their services to align with user needs.
Well, they’re not the only ones to ride on this interest, but financial players like PayPal have relevant services. For example, PayPal rolled out tap-to-pay support on iPhones and Androids through it’s native app and has been offering debit and credit cards for other significant transactions.
But to take part in the mobile payments growth, PayPal and it’s subsidiary Venmo are partnering with Apple to let it’s mutual users add PayPal and Venmo’s Debit and Credit cards to Apple Wallet and make transactions through it.
Interested users can add the cards to their Apple Wallet and start paying through them immediately. Alternatively, users can also add their PayPal credit or debit card to their Apple Wallet through PayPal’s site. But PayPal says Business Debit Card and Venmo’s credit and debit cards can be added to their respective apps “in the coming months”.
When available and added, iPhone, iPad and even Apple Watch users can start paying merchants and their friends using Touch or Face ID.
