Ever since I began making a living from the ad revenue of websites I have not stopped thinking about new ideas. Even if one website is doing well, like Android Explained, I worked to create a website dedicated to app and game sales. This continues to happen and my latest idea is specifically for the OnePlus 7 smartphone series.
This idea sparked when I realized how well another project idea of mine had become. I still love the idea of having Android Explained as my central hub for Android-related content but I think there is also some benefit to having entire websites dedicated to a widely used smartphone.
This doesn’t mean I’m changing the way Android Explained will be run.
I will continue to dedicate this website to help teach beginners how to do things with their Android devices. But I want to be able to dive deeper and help smartphone owners more. And I want to do so in a way that doesn’t clog up this website and make the search feature unusable.
OnePlus pushes out multiple firmware updates to the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro each month. This will increase even more in the future with the, presumable, OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. I know how useful it can be to have a central location for things like firmware updates and stock kernels.
But with OnePlus7Tips.com I can go beyond that as well and leverage some of the content I’m already creating here.
I think the new website will be great for anyone who owns the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, or OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. It doesn’t matter if you own the European version or the Global one as I will be including download links for all of them. You can expect to see me cataloging the full ROM, OTA update, and stock kernel boot.img files there.
As far as tips and tutorials for these devices are concerned, all content will be published here at Android Explained first. I will just be summarizing the tutorials on the new website for those who are a bit more familiar with the matter. I can even dive deeper with this new dedicated site to help people even more.
This is simply an experiment which I hope adds some value to the Android (and OnePlus) community. I’m already planning something for the Galaxy Note 10 and will see how they perform over time. So please share the website with the OnePlus 7 community if you ever find it useful.
