Nvidia has donated $15 million in funds to the civilians affected in Israel’s war with Hamas, where severe military strikes are currently happening.

The company raised some of the funding($5 million) from it’s employees, matched and doubled, and donated the whole to several non-profit organisations working to serve war-affected people.

Aiding in All The Ways They Could

To serve the civilians affected in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, Nvidia has raised about $15 million – partly coming from it’s employees.

In a donation statement released this week, Nvidia said that thousands of employees from more than 30 countries have participated in this fundraiser to donate about $5 million. This sum was matched and doubled by Nvidia($10 million) to make it up to $15 million.

The sum goes to several organizations aiding the civilians in war, viz Asor Fund(JGive), American Friends of Magen David Adom, Doctors Without Borders, Friends of United Hatzalah, IsraAID(US) Global Humanitarian Assistance, Jewish Agency for Israel, World Central Kitchen and Zaka.

Noting this donation as the largest humanitarian fundraiser in it’s 30-year-old history, Nvidia’s deputy general counsel, Gideon Rosenberg, said, “The genuine care of our employees around the world truly inspires us. We are proud to see such broad support from Nvidia families in Israel and worldwide“.

This comes after one of the company’s employees in Israel, Avinatan Or, was captured by Hamas on October 7th at Nova music festival, along with his girlfriend Noa Argamani and around 240 others. While some of whom have since been released, or is still in the militant captive.

This aside, the company has also donated hundreds of computers to families evacuated from the north and south of Israel and provided thousands of hot meals from it’s Yokneam office cafeteria.
