Netflix is reportedly setting up brick-and-mortar retail locations called Netflix House that feature merchandise and vibe from it’s popular shows.
Besides selling merchandise, some stores will also feature dining with cuisines from it’s TV shows and movies. Also, a few locations would feature Squid Game-like games, too! Details on when we could see these stores or where they’ll appear are yet to be known.
Netflix House For Better Experience
From renting DVDs to steaming it’s content online, Netflix has come a long way. As it decided to stop it’s DVD rental business this year, the company is launching some brick-and-mortar stores to serve it’s customers better.
As noted by Bloomberg, these outlets will be called Netflix House and sell merchandise based on hit Netflix shows. Some Netflix House establishments will also offer dining and curated live experiences, like featuring an obstacle course based on Squid Game.
While it’s unknown where we can see the initial outlets popping up, Bloomberg noted that Netflix House will keep rotating the art installations based on hit shows and live performances occasionally. Customers can expect to see some cuisine and drinks featuring many unscripted food-based reality shows on Netflix.
As the company is finalizing details regarding menus, locations and others, Josh Simon, Netflix’s vice president of consumer products, said that their customers “love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows, and we’ve been thinking a lot about how we take that to the next level”.
