Instagram is reportedly working on a new AI chatbot experience for it’s users, to leverage the growing AI ChatGPT craze in the tech community.
Screenshots shared by a reliable leaker reveal a new AI window – which touts about 30 AI personalities to try. These AI chatbots can offer advice, answer questions and help frame a message in your conversations. More details on this feature are yet to be known.
AI Chatbot on Instagram
Dipping it’s feet lately into the AI revolution is Instagram, where the social platform is reportedly testing a new AI chatbot, similar to Snapchat’s My AI. This was revealed by a prominent leaker Alessandro Paluzzi on Tuesday, who shared a screenshot showing Instagram’s new chatbot.

Details on this new feature are still nascent, with the screenshots stating the AI can answer questions, give advice and offer help writing messages. Also, it has about 30 different personalities to try on, where users can test and adopt the most suitable one.
This leak is in line with the earlier announcement from Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who stated the company is “developing AI personas that can help people in a variety of ways“.
Instagram is yet to confirm working on this feature. Well, even if it does, we may or may not see the final output if the platform considers not to release it, ultimately. But if it proceeds to do so, Instagram may start testing this AI chatbot with a group of select users, before rolling it out to everyone.
Snapchat launched a similar chatbot named My AI earlier this year, which can answer user questions and add fun to chats with real people. While it’s a hit integration, My AI has come under scrutiny for giving creepy answers sometimes and the way Snapchat is handling the data My AI is provided with.
Thus, Instagram would thoughtfully study these cases to be more willing and trusting with it’s chatbot, when launched.
