Jumping on the AI bandwagon like it’s peers, Indeed has added a bunch of AI features to let both job seekers and recruiters ease their searches on the platform.
Indeed says it’ll now let job seekers craft their work experience with AI, attaching up to five resumes and keeping their profile visibility open to the public for maximum reach. On the recruiter side, Indeed added AI-powered candidate summaries, smart messaging and automated interview scheduling.
A Needed AI Makeover
One of the popular job-finding platforms – Indeed, is finally catching up with it’s rivals LinkedIn, Talent.com and others in the AI race, as the company added many new features to help job seekers and recruiters ease their processes.
On the job hunters’ front, Indeed added an AI-powered work experience writer to let people form better descriptions of different projects. Also, applicants can add up to five resumes to their profile and use the one more relevant to the position.
Further, Indeed is setting the profile visibility to open, by default, to everyone, which previously had a toggle to turn on. Users who don’t want to be seen by the recruiters can turn this off in Settings.
On the recruiter side, Indeed released a smart sourcing suite to reduce the “irrelevant outreach” – a situation when employers reach out to candidates that don’t match the job profile. In this pursuit, they can use advanced search filters to find relevant candidates and get AI-powered candidate summaries.
Further, there’s a new AI-powered smart messaging and automated interview scheduling to speed up the recruiting process. Indeed said the testing phase of these features had the recruiters save up to six hours per week, thus it’s rolling out widely now.
Speaking on this, Indeed’s Senior Director of Product, Deepti Patibandla, said to TechCrunch;
“We want to ensure that people are getting the right jobs and not getting inundated by random jobs. Those two are our main focal points for now. Long term we see the opportunity for users to come to Indeed to set their career trajectory path.”
