The LG V40 ThinQ smartphone commonly referred to as the LG V40, is an Android phablet manufactured by LG Electronics as part of the LG V series. It was announced on the date of October 3, 2018 and is the successor to the previous devices in the LG V series, namely the LG V30, LG V30S ThinQ, and LG V35 ThinQ. The LG V40 was released primarily in the United States on October 18, 2018.
The LG V40 ThinQ is the first smartphone to have five cameras on a single device to give you some more shooting options.
The LG V40 ThinQ smartphone is ready to capture everything that’s in front of you with its super-wide rear camera that has a 107-degree Field Of View. It’s not as dramatic as the 120 degree Field Of View on the original LG V10 smartphone, but that’s in order to reduce barrel distortion at the edges.
How To Turn Voice Input On / Off LG V40 ThinQ:
The voice input feature:
Enables hands-free keyboard use by tapping the microphone located on the onscreen keyboard.
Cannot be turned off on some devices.
Using Google Keyboard/Gboard:
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings then tap “Language & input” or “Language & keyboard”.
For Oreo OS, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > System > Languages, input & gestures.
For Samsung devices on Oreo OS, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen then navigate: Settings > General management > Languages and input.
From the Default keyboard, tap Google Keyboard/Gboard.
Google Keyboard/Gboard is pre-installed on some devices, or download and install the app from the Google™ Play Store by searching for “Gboard”.
Tap Preferences.
Tap the Voice input key switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
Using Device Keyboard:
If your device doesn’t offer these steps, use Google Keyboard/Gboard to manage voice input.
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings then tap “Language & input” or “Language & keyboard”.
For Oreo OS, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > System > Languages, input & gestures.
For Samsung devices on Oreo OS, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen then navigate: Settings > General management > Languages and input.
From ‘Keyboards…’, tap “Virtual keyboard” or “On-screen keyboard” then perform one of the following as appropriate:
Tap Google voice typing to enable or disable.
Enabled when a check mark is present.
Tap <device name> keyboard then tap the Google voice typing key switch to turn on or off.
