We are just a month away from the launch of the Google Pixel 8a as the device is expected to be unveiled at Google I/O 2024 which will be held in May. However, just before the launch, like other Google Pixel devices, the main specifications, design and looks of this device also leaked online.
As per the leaked renders, the device will have four color options and a more rounded look compared to other devices in the Pixel 8 series. The device will come in Mint, Porcelain, Obsidian, and Bay colors and we have already seen these colors on the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro, that were launched last year.
From the looks of it, the Google Pixel 8a looks quite similar to the other devices in the Pixel 8 series except that there is a rounded corner on this device. On the rear side is the same style of camera module that we have seen in Pixel devices since the launch of the Google Pixel 6 series.
In terms of specifications, the device comes with a 6.1-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate support. However, some rumors suggest that there might be a 120Hz refresh rate support on this device. Other than that, the device also has the same Tensor G3 chipset that we have already seen in the Pixel 8 series. There is also a 4,500 mAh battery cell with fast charging support. On the rear side is a dual-camera system headlined by a 64MP primary sensor along with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. In terms of the rear camera system, it seems like the Google Pixel 8a is getting the same camera system as the other devices in the series.
As seen from the images shared online by Android Headlines, the Pixel 8a looks very similar to other Pixel 8 devices except that there are rounded corners on this device. The rounded corners on this device look good as it provides better ergonomics.
As far as price is concerned, the Pixel 8a comes with a price tag between $500 to $550, per some early rumors but it is not confirmed yet. The Pixel 8a will launch on May 14th at Google I/O 2024 as per some reports. However, Google did not confirm any of the specifications. All the details shared are based on some leaks and rumors.
