Years after pushing RCS into mainstream messaging, Google finally enables dual-SIM RCS support for it’s native Messages app, as seen in the latest app’s code.

A Telegram user enabled this feature on his Samsung phone, while another shared tips on this for other Samsung phones. Interested users can try for themselves or wait until Google rolls out this support widely.

Google Messages Dual-SIM RCS Support

Google is one of the prime supporters of RCS messaging, where it was adopted early on it’s native Messages app and other OEMs were pushed to do the same for chat interoperability. Though Apple – a major OEM, refused multiple times, Google continues advancing the technology to make it more exciting and productive.

Now, years after serving the community with a single SIM RCS support, Google is finally enabling dual SIM RCS support for it’s Messages app. A Telegram user spotted and force-enabled this feature on his Samsung device by toggling feature-specific flags.

When available, users can switch between SIMs to continue their RCS chats flawlessly. A reliable tipster, Assemble Debug, has also listed steps to enable this support on our Samsung devices without any rooting. Else, we recommend waiting for Google to roll out the official support widely.
