Google is making it easy for Android users to set custom ringtones through it’s native Contacts app, as a fresh leak shows a dedicated section for this work.
A leaker reported a new ‘Ringtones‘ section on the Google Contacts Android app that shows all the contacts with custom ringtones set – and the ability to add more with a few taps. This is a more straightforward solution than the hassle of setting custom ringtones for each contact by going to their contact card individually every time.
Setting Custom Ringtones on Android
While Android lets you customise your phone better than any other OS, it still has a lot of work to do. One such field is the ability to set custom ringtones for each contact – which currently allows users to do by going to their contact cards – one by one!
It’s a hectic process, especially when you want to find which contacts have custom ringtones set and which don’t. Thus, Google is reportedly working on a straightforward solution by adding a dedicated section for this – called Ringtones in the Google Contacts app.
@AssembleDebug spotted you; the new section lists all the contacts with custom ringtones for easier finding and changing tones. The section also lets you set custom ringtones to new contacts with just a few clicks, which is a better solution than the current method.

This new section was spotted in Google Contacts for Android v4.22.37.586688692 as a hidden feature, so there’s no word on when this can arrive to regular users.
