We here at GetTechMedia reported that Gionee is back as they announced two new upcoming smartphones called the Gionee M11 and Gionee M11s. The Chinese smartphone company seems to have put an end to its financial troubles and is ready to take on its competitors again. There was a TENAA listing of the two Gionee smartphones. TENAA has now revently published the full specifications of both phones.
Going by Gionee’s previous models which come in standard and “s” variants, we here at GetTechMedia strongly believe the Gionee 20190620G is the Gionee M11 while the Gionee 20190619G is the Gionee M11s. The “s” model usually has the better specifications just as in the case of the Gionee S11 and Gionee S11s.
Gionee 20190620G (Gionee M11):
The Gionee M11 (20190620G) comes with a 6.217-inch display with a 720 x 1520 resolution. There is a camera in the middle of the upper part of the display which is housed in a notch.
The smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor that was most likely provided by MediaTek. There will be three model types or variants – 3GB RAM + 64GB, 4GB RAM + 64GB, and 6GB RAM + 128GB and all will support storage expansion.
There are dual cameras on the back and accordoning to TENAA, they claim that the sensors are a 16MP primary camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. With regards to the TENAA listing, it appears the 2MP sensor is interpolated to 5MP or maybe some variants have a 5MP secondary sensor. The front camera is a 5MP sensor which seems to be 8MP on some variants or interpolated to 8MP. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The Gionee M11 comes with a 5000mAh battery which has become pretty popular. It however will operate on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone will be available in Black, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Purple (above). The smartphone weighs 180 grams and measures 157.6 x 76.4 x 9.4 millimeters.
Gionee 20190619G (Gionee M11s):
The Gionee M11s (20190619G) comes with a slightly bigger 6.3-inch display with a Full HD (2340 x 1080) resolution. It comes packed with a 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of expandable storage.
There are dual cameras on the backside of the smartphone along with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The listing states two configurations 16MP + 5MP or 20MP + 8MP. The front camera also has two configurations – 13MP or 16MP.
It holds a 4000mAh battery but operates on Android 9 Pie. It will be available in Dream Blue, Ink Green, and Starry Black. The Gionee M11s weighs 170 grams and measures 160.6 x 75.8 x 8.4 millimeters.
