Disable smart network switch on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL:
From a Home screen, touch and swipe up to display all apps.
Navigate: Settings app icon > Network and Internet settings icon > Wi-Fi icon.
Ensure that the switch (upper-right) is turned on.
Tap Wi-Fi preferences then tap Advanced Down arrow icon.
Tap Switch to mobile data automatically to turn on or off.
OR
Turn on your Pixel or Pixel XL smartphone
Enable mobile data on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
After mobile data is enabled, go to Menu – > Settings – > Wireless.
Toward the begin of the page you will see the alternative “Smart network switch”.
Uncheck this choice
Presently your Google Pixel and Pixel XL will no longer switch auto between Wi-Fi and the mobile date Internet.
