Blizzard Promotions For Diablo IV Include a Real Blood-Infused PC

Promoting the upcoming Diablo IV: Season of Blood in a stirring way, Blizzard conducted a blood campaign for it’s fans to earn in-game rewards and a high-end PC

The campaign needs 666 quarts (a little over 1,300 pints) of blood to fulfil, where Blizzard activates game rewards at certain milestones. While the blood donated will go to donation camps, fans can also get a chance to win a blood-infused PC (instead of water as coolant) to celebrate the launch of the game.

Using Real Blood as a PC Coolant

When we thought Blizzard wasn’t hyping much about the upcoming Diablo IV, the company announced an intriguing campaign to bring the game to fan’s notice and it’s by sucking their blood for some in-game goodies and a blood-infused PC!

Welcoming the game’s new season, Season of Blood, Blizzard asked its fans to donate blood in the nearest donation centre to win in-game rewards. The month-long blood drive in the US needs 666 quarts to succeed, which is a little over 1,300 pints. A typical blood donation is of 1 pint.

Fans should upload proof of blood donation to earn rewards, which are split across three tiers. The first milestone is when the campaign reaches the 33% mark, where donors earn five weapons cosmetics.

When it reaches the 66% mark, the players can access the Loch Raeth Maor Barbarian armour cosmetic and when the campaign is entirely successful – reaching 666 quarts of blood donations – Blizzard activates the Vermilion Eye Piebald Mount. The company also unlocks the sweepstakes for a blood-infused PC.

The PC, the centre of all hype, is “a custom liquid-cooled CPU infused with real human blood.Blizzard claims to use real human blood instead of water coolant in the PC, aside from fitting other high-end hardware like NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090, an Intel Core i9 CPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, 3 TB SSD Storage, and the Quantum Vector GPU Waterblock for cooling.

The sweepstakes aren’t reserved only for those who donated, but anyone in the US aged 18 and above can enter.
