Evolving from the rumors that Apple might rebrand the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max as iPhone 15 Ultra, a new report suggests the company could be making a dedicated Ultra model altogether!
This comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who cited Tim Cook’s recent interview statement as the clue. Cook was seen opening on the scope for a much pricier iPhone since their handsets have become so integral to people’s lives.
iPhone Ultra Model in the Cooking
Apple already has some of the most expensive smartphones on this planet, with it’s latest iPhone 14 series Pro Max 1TB hitting over $1,500 apiece. As if this isn’t enough, the company is planning for an even pricier iPhone called the Ultra model!
This is as per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who said Apple is potentially working on an iPhone Ultra model that much pricier than the current Pro and Pro Max models and could be coming later this year or next year.
This is based on a hint given by Tim Cook, who said, “The iPhone has become so integral [to] people’s lives, and “people are willing to really stretch to get the best they can afford in that category” – in response to analysts asking on whether iPhone’s increasing average price was sustainable.
So if Apple sees the demand for an Ultra model, it’d surely take it up! We’ve already seen rumors stating that Apple might rebrand the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max as iPhone 15 Ultra.
Well, the company could now be making a whole different high-end model called the iPhone 15 Ultra, with more solid features. While it’s unknown how Apple will differentiate the new Ultra model, experts say it could have exclusive software and much-modern hardware like no-port charging capabilities, solid-state buttons, Wi-Fi 6E, a better camera, a faster processor and an even larger display.
