As promised, Apple has developed higher storage plans for iCloud – 6TB and 12TB to suit users’ needs with storage-sucking content.
These plans cost $29.99(6TB) a month and $59.99(12TB) a month, respectively, and are available to purchase. Aside from storage, iCloud+ also comes with Private Relay and Hide My Email services for better privacy.
More iCloud Storage
One of the many crucial services Apple sells to it’s community is iCloud storage, which is essential for several reasons. For instance, the backup data of your WhatsApp and other messenger chats go in there, alongside the contacts and media recorded on your iPhone.
Though the company offers a free 5GB iCloud storage to everyone, it isn’t enough. Mobile photographers and hobbyists often need a lot of cloud storage to save their work and sync across devices to showcase it when required.
Thus, to accommodate them, Apple has now developed extensive storage plans of 6TB and 12TB for $29.99 and $59.99 a month, respectively. These plans show up alongside the other iCloud premium plans of 50GB for $0.99/month, 200GB for $2.99/month, and 2TB plan for $9.99/month plans.
As the latest iPhones have an upgraded 48MP primary camera and many widely use Apple’s ProRes photography, the need for more storage is evident. Besides offering storage, iCloud+ comes with Private Relay, a VPN-like service to hide your browsing activity from third parties and a Hide My Email service to generate random email addresses for use in newsletters, offers, etc.
This would effectively conceal your actual email address, offering privacy. Also, iCloud+ users can personalise their email domain for better identification and store footage from any connected security device in an end-to-end encrypted form.
