Amazfit announced it’s first-ever smart ring, called the Helio Ring, aimed to take a pie from the Oura Ring’s market share in this space.
Made up of lightweight titanium, the Helio Ring has built-in sensors to track your bodily movement to determine your health. The ring should be paired with the Zepp app to view the readings and can also work alongside Amazfit’s smartwatches.
Amazfit Helio Ring for Health Tracking
Smart rings aren’t yet a thing, at least until some big brand launches their product. Though Oura Ring is doing well in this segment, there’s a need for more players to make the industry competitive. Amazfit did just that by launching it’s first-ever smart ring, Helio Ring, at CES 2024.
Termed skin-friendly, the new smart ring is 2.6mm thick and built with lightweight titanium, says Amazfit. With built-in sensors, the ring can monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and sleep to analyse the data and provide a Readiness score within the Zepp app.
The Helio Ring can track your running, walking, cycling and treadmill workout activities. Further, Amazfit says that users can pair the Helio Ring with it’s smartwatches, like the T-Rex Ultra and allow the Zepp app to draw more comprehensive health metrics.
Coming in Spring 2024, the Helio Ring will have 10ATM water resistance and will be available in sizes 10 and 12, which seems limiting. The company hasn’t revealed essential details like the battery life and pricing. Still, with Amazfit’s smartwatches being more affordable than the best Android smartwatches, we expect the Helio Ring to be priced competitively, possibly under the Oura Ring range.
