The Fall of the Kingdom Market
The Federal Criminal Police Office in Germany(BKA) and the internet-crime combating unit of Frankfurt(ZIT) have this week announced the seizure of Kingdom Market – an illegal marketplace operating on the Dark Web.
Operating since 2021, Kingdom Market has over 42,000 items for sale from hundreds of registered sellers, serving tens of thousands of customers. The marketplace sold drugs, malware, cybercrime services, stolen data and forged documents for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero and Zcash.
Well, it’s now nabbed by the German police with the help of authorities from the United States, Switzerland, Moldova and Ukraine. Further, the police have arrested one person named Alan Bill, aka “Vend0r” or “KingdomOfficial“, a Slovakian, touted as an administrator of the Kingdom Market.
While investigations are underway to identify other people, people claiming to be members of the Kingdom Market are mourning of their money being lost – stored in the now-defunct marketplace for future purchases. This aside, rival marketplaces like Drughub and Cypher markets are luring the sellers of Kingdom Market to their platforms after it’s seizure.
