OpenAI this week added Bing Search to it’s ChatGPT app for iOS, which allows iPhone users to search queries on the chatbot app.
Results would be even better since ChatGPT summarises it, thus it’s more comprehensive. Well, this offering is only available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers and has to be enabled manually before using it. OpenAI says the results will be up-to-date, following the current trends.
Bing Search for ChatGPT Plus Users
Microsoft’s partnership with OpenAI is turning out great, as the company’s Bing Search has now made it’s way to the ChatGPT app on iOS, letting users browse the web on the go. This edition is only available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, says OpenAI in it’s iOS feature notes.
“Plus, users can now use ‘Browsing’ to get comprehensive answers and current insights on events and information that extend beyond the model’s original training data.”
Interested users can enable this feature by going to app Settings > New Features > Browsing. Here, you should choose GPT-4 as the model switcher and select “Browse with Bing” in the drop-down menu. Well, be aware that neither ChatGPT nor Bing Search with GPT-4 are accurate in all cases, as they have a history of surfacing hateful and wrong responses confidently.
Whilst keeping that in Mind, you can try the Bing Search on ChatGPT right away if you’re a Plus subscriber. Though free users get enough from the AI chatbot, paying for ChatGPT Plus ($20/month) gives smooth access during peak times, faster response times and priority access to new features and improvements.
