LG Electronics has recently introduced their new entry level 4G Flip phone called The LG Folder 2. It is targeted at people who like simple functions.
The LG Folder 2 comes with a dedicated SOS key mounted at the rear end of the device. By pressing it three times in about 1.5 seconds, it quickly calls a pre-registered number and sends current location information by means of a text message.
It comes with a hotkey located on top of a call button that gives easy access to the AI Voice services or recording functions however this depends on your carrier. The AI Voice service will recognize the user’s voice and answers questions such as weather, date, time, simple arithmetic questions.
It has an external notification window which can be used to check incoming notifications about texts, messages, calls etc. The smartphone come packed with data security lock functions that prevents un-intended data charge loss.
The LG Folder 2 comes with dimensions of 107.9 x 55 x 18 mm and weighs 130 grams. It supports 4G LTE and comes with 2.8-inch QVGA display and 0.9-inch Monot screen which is for notifications.
The smartphone boasts a qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor along with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage space. There will be support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and includes FM Radio. On the rear end there is a 2MP camera shooter and a 1470mAh battery on the inside.
The LG Folder 2 is currently priced at 198,000 won (USD$ 162 / Rs. 12,420 approximately) and will be available in colours of white and new platinum grey colors. It will be sold at three major domestic mobile communication companies in South Korea commencing from 17th of April.
